she loves me. she does not cope well with stress. having the duty of deciding on my behalf in a potential emergency, and maybe dealing with me at home on a vent, stresses her. a lot. she doesn't want me to die, but she can't accept the burden, so she and her allies suggest that i should die. hence her opposition to me coming home if i am on a vent.
