I've been on both sides of this conversation, as the kid and as the parent...

kid: I'm full.
parent: OK.
kid: What's for dessert?
parent: I thought you were full.
kid: No, I'm full for dinner, not for dessert.

(Cattle have more than one stomach, but not, to my knowledge, people.)
