It's a snap

Since the new policy on knuckle cracking, after the first couple of days, there has been no voluntary knuckle cracking, and exceedingly little reflexive cracking. Sometimes as I move around and support myself one will crack. But not often. So far, a success. The new policy is to never do it on purpose. Reflexive cracking where you just did it out of habit is allowed and forgiven, but you should refrain from doing any follow-on knuckle cracking. This new policy seems to have reduced it to near zero, even the reflexive kind.

Left grip is 45 pounds (42, 45, 45), right grip is 95 pounds (95, 90, 90), left leg balance is 16.75 seconds, and inhale volume is 4500 mL.

For lack of anything better to show you, this is he left-leg balance chart to date. It's highly variable, and seems to depend on so many other factors not related to ALS. The initial low scores reflect, I think, unfamiliarity with the event. Later 'increases' just reflect better technique.
